Great Food Makes Memories: Local Bistro

avidmasticator:

My sister and I were in N. Scottsdale when we came across Local Bistro. The food was great and the atmosphere was calming. I really liked the music selection as well as the exposed shelving, as it reminded me of being in a loft in a more urban city.

The Good Egg

My sister and I frequent The Good Egg. There are multiple location around the valley and all of them are amazing. Most of the food involves various types of “skillets” with cheeses, eggs, potatoes, and pretty much anything else you could ask for. The apple crepes are amazing (and just about everything else on their menu), but you have to get there between 6:30AM and 2PM if you want to eat. It is well worth it.

Carefree, Arizona

I have yet to visit down town Cave Creek, but I ended up in Carefree and that area is really nice.  I always said If could retire someplace that was not near water it would be Sedona, but right now I would settle for Carefree.  I am going to make it a point to go back and take more time to see what is around in the area.  Now that the weather is great they have some art/wine/jazz events going on up there til the end of May I believe.

For the women:  My mother was looking for places to have my sister’s bridal shower so we visited the English Tea Room.  I have to say there was not another bit of testosterone for at least 1,500 feet, but if I think that was the point.  If you like tea, pastries, and home made bread (not to mention more, great food on their menu), you should check it out.

Shopping, well browsing…

I stopped by Biltmore for some shopping there are two people I was happy to meet. Ben at Brooks Brothers was very helpful and Judy at Tommy Bahama is a very interesting woman. Judy liked my shirt which read, “Property of Dirty Ghetto Kids” and proceeded to help me figure out what professional attire is appropriate for this heat. I am going to write TB a letter about their awesomely helpful employee.
